WINE & JAZZ SUPPER CLUB

Join us from your home, at a participating Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse location, or wherever you may be on September 11th for a one-of-a-kind streamed jazz concert performance featuring Joey Calderazzo with Branford Marsalis, played exclusively for the 'virtual guests' of the 27th Music Festival for Brain Health.

Joey Calderazzo with Branford Marsalis

Joey Calderazzo is one of the finest pianists of his generation, having recorded thirteen albums. As a leader, Joey Calderazzo has traveled the road from child prodigy to in-demand session musician to elite member of the finest ensembles in jazz. He's accompanied the music's geniuses, from Michael Brecker and Branford Marsalis to Jack DeJohnette and Dave Holland. Throughout his journey, Calderazzo has boldly explored his own psyche and his place in the world, as a composer, improviser, band member, and leader.
 
After four decades in the international spotlight, the achievements of three-time Grammy Award winner, saxophonist Branford Marsalis continues to grow. From his initial recognition as a young jazz lion, Branford Marsalis has expanded his vision as an instrumentalist, composer, bandleader and educator, crossing stylistic boundaries while maintaining an unwavering creative integrity. In the process, he has become an avatar of contemporary artistic excellence.

Together, Joey and Branford will impress and energize the viewers of the virtual Wine & Jazz Supper Club experience, leveraging the extrasensory interactions and bold interpretations they have evolved over the last 23 years since 1998, the year Joey became a member of the Branford Marsalis Quintet, as well as the music they created as a duo that includes the masterful 2011 album Songs of Mirth and Melancholy.
 
Joey Calderazzo's breadth and depth as a pianist is astounding. A single solo, either with his trio or Branford Marsalis' Quartet, can allude to myriad generations of jazz piano giants, filtered through his keen, hard-swinging lens and joyous touch.

Both options include the Joey Calderazzo with Branford Marsalis streamed concert performance and a bottle of wine from one of our dedicated Music Festival for Brain Health winery partners.

ENJOY THE WINE

Registrants of the at-home streamed concert and in-person 'Dinner Supper Club' experiences will receive a bottle of wine from vintners who are supporting this year's Music Festival for Brain Health. 

 

At-home streamed concert registrants must register by September 3rd in order to receive their wine before the event on September 11th.

IN-PERSON DINING

5:30pm PT, 6:30pm MT, 7:30pm PT, 8:00pm ET

Dine out at one of the many participating Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouses located across America for this year’s Music Festival for Brain Health 'Wine & Jazz Supper Club' experience. Attending donors will dine together in a spacious private dining room and be treated to a wonderful 4-course dinner curated by Chef Ariel Fox paired with four Staglin Family Vineyard wines. Guests at each location will share a night of conversation and fun while watching the streamed Joey Calderazzo with Branford Marsalis concert performance on a special screen set up in the room. Each registrant of the in-person Del Frisco’s Steakhouse dinner will also receive an additional bottle of wine to take home provided by one of the
participating Music Festival for Brain
Health vintners.

AT-HOME LIVESTREAM

6:00pm PT, 9:00pm ET

Share a special night at home with your family or loved ones while viewing the exclusively streamed online concert performance by Joey Calderazzo with Branford Marsalis, all while helping to raise important funds for brain health research. Make your favorite meal or get your favorite take out and enjoy a bottle of wine shipped to you as part of your registration.
